Admissions

We are currently accepting applications [Pre-K through Grade 6] for the 2010-2011 school year. If you would like to receive an application packet or have any questions about current tuition rates, you may contact the Micha-el School Office at (503)774-4946 or email us at michaelschoolportland@gmail.com for an information packet.

We offer guided tours once monthly on a Friday. On these tours you will see the classrooms, meet some of our parents and faculty and have an opportunity to ask questions. This is truly the best way to feel the spirit of our community and learn about what Waldorf Education can mean for your family. You will find a calendar of upcoming tours on our homepage.

Accessible-to-All Program

The tuition for both Grade school and Kindergarten needs to meet its costs.  However, the school is also committed to making the education accessible to all.  Consequently those parents who wish to put their children in the school may apply to our “Accessible-to-All” Program and meet representatives of the school to form a consensus on what tuition can be paid. Opportunities to volunteer within the school and participate in fundraising to meet further tuition costs are available.

Our Commitment

The school is committed to bringing Rudolf Steiner’s indications on education into full practice in this century to educate and support children who will become strong individualities in the future so that a new spiritual impulse may arise.
