Class Teachers

The class teachers are the pillars of the Waldorf School. They come to the children with experience, enthusiasm and vitality, leading them through their day and year.

Grade  5 - Valerie Miles  
Valerie has been a class teacher in Waldorf Schools since 1971. She is a Anthroposophically trained art therapist and has taught in Waldorf teacher training in England, Canada and the United States.

Grade 3/4 - Jennifer Davis
Jennifer is a recent graduate of the Micha-el Institute. She is the mother and home educator of three children now in Waldorf Schools. She is filled with enthusiasm at the task of continuing with last term’s Grade 2/3.

Our Commitment

The school is committed to bringing Rudolf Steiner’s indications on education into full practice in this century to educate and support children who will become strong individualities in the future so that a new spiritual impulse may arise.

Micha-el School of Portland began January 2008 with Pre-school through Grade Four. The 2010-2011 school year has expanded to include Grade Six and we look forward to future expansion as our community grows.

Please come vists our Micha-el School Store! We are open 8:30-9:30 Monday-Friday and 12:30-3:30 Monday-Wednesday and 12:30-2pm Thursdays & Fridays.   Map
