Local classes are also available from the Micha-el Institute. The Institute was founded in 2002 and offers introductory classes for parents and prospective teachers, and a full Waldorf Certification program for aspiring teachers. The Institute offers an introductory class on Waldorf and Anthroposophy, its underlying philosophy. This course is especially helpful for parents interested in Waldorf education and understanding the Waldorf Impulse and Approach. Classes are $20 per evening, $15 for Waldorf school parents, and $70 for four evening courses if paid two weeks prior to the courses chosen. Call 503.774.4946 for more information, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Parents and prospective teachers are also invited to take all Introductory Courses, offered over 28 Thursday evenings from September to May. For all course listings, please see the Micha-el Institute. All classes are held at the Micha-el School in the seventh grade classroom.
