Our endeavor is to bring into practice all Rudolf Steiner’s indications for Waldorf schools.

The Micha-el School is a warm and vibrant community of committed teachers and parents dedicated to the physical, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual development of children. Established in 2008, The Micha-el School now offers Kindergarten through 8th grade and a full array of subject classes, including music, Spanish & German, movement, eurythmy, handwork and woodworking. Academic lessons integrate artistic activities on a daily basis.

Our school is located at 13515A SE Rusk Road (Map), just off of Route 224 in Clackamas County on the grounds of the Church of the Annunciation and adjacent to North Clackamas Park. It provides plenty of room for all of our classes, administrative office and store. It has beautiful fields, a duck pond, trees and natural areas to enjoy and explore.

The Micha-el School will be run in conjunction with the well-established Micha-el Institute of Portland which is responsible for training Waldorf Teachers. It is seen in the same light as a teaching hospital is to a Medical School, so that help will be available in the school from teacher training students gaining experience.

Micha-el School of Portland began January 2008 with Preschool through Grade Four. The school has expanded to include Two Kindergartens and Grade One through Eight, we look forward to future expansion as our community grows.
